A fangtastic Halloween event was held in St. Luke’s Church Hall, St Luke’s Neighbourhood Trust, Merle Terrace, Pallion, Sunderland.
This very well attended event had a wide range of activities to take part in as well as all the Sustainable Sunderland Partners having exhibition stands and people on hand to answer questions.
As everyone walked around the event there was a great deal of advice available from Sustainable Sunderland Partners about energy reduction etc.
Recycling also featured as part of this event with Haffezar Khan showing everyone how to reuse CDs and other items.
An interesting addition to this event was the ‘smoothie bike’ pictured below. Using this bike to power a food mixer containing healthy food options for a smoothie often means that the cyclist is using up more calories to make the smoothie than are actually in the smoothie itself!
As part of the attractions Snakes ‘n Tails had a variety of suitably Halloween-like creatures for everyone to have a look at.
Flash the Magician was also there to create balloon figures that meant there was a queue until even after the event had finished.
